Mission and Job Duties
- Design/develop a robot operating system (ROS) that can enhance autonomous control (driving, motion, situation determination, etc.) applied to industrial robots
- Manage technical development collaboration with global technical support organization including headquarters and affiliates
- Robot priority : ① Autonomous transfer robot (AMR, AGV, etc.) ② Mobile assembly robot (vehicle bolt assembly Cobot, etc.) ③ General industrial robot
Roles and Responsibilitiess
Develop autonomous SLAM function
- Obtain/analyze operational data of transport robots such as AMR/AGV
- Develop a universal Simultaneous Localization and Mapping (SLAM) function that can be applied to various robots
- Develop an optimal path finding function and recognition of obstacles around based on metadata (factory 3D map, etc.)
Develop Mobile Robot Work Point Recognition Function
- Develop micro adjustment of the robot's work location based on metadata (3D vehicle/component data, etc.)
- Identify the cause of the failure to recognize the robot's workplace and identify software-required technologies/data
Fix errors and upgrade functions of industrial robot operating system
- Analyze the causes of operational errors of factory-operated industrial robots (including acquisition/analysis of operational data)
- Derive and develop software error resolution and functional improvement measures
- Identify items that utilize metadata (various 3D data: factories, products, facilities, etc.) to improve robot functions

Background - Education / Working Experience
- Master of Engineering (preferred)
- Total 5~10 years of experience in operating and improving mobile robot software (AMR, AGV, etc), and analyzing relevant data
Professional Skills - Knowledge & Skills & Others (Certification etc.)
- Technical skills in SLAM and ROS development
- Technical skills in analyzing data created from Robot using statistical tools/programs
- Understanding in automotive manufacturing process & technology (optional)
- Proficiency with MS Office (optional)
Language Skills
- Fluent English
- Proficiency in Korean is desired but not required
